The Heart:
An Azure Dragon Constellation
Key Star: Sigma Sco (Sigma Scorpii)
The Heart has three stars. Ancient Chinese Astrologers called it Hsin the Heart, ruled by the Moon. When the moon passed through this constellation, it meant important things such as:
Not a wise day to build. Unfavorable to those in office, law cases can result in imprisonment, presages necessity to sell one's property. The children of a marriage contracted on this day will be afflicted. The tutellary divinity sits in the clouds and has the ability to transform peas into soldiers.**
Early Arabian Astrologers called the Heart, Al Kalb and saw the following portent:
Causes discord, sedition, conspiracy against princes and rulers, and revenge from enemies, but frees captives and helps building. With Moon here, plant, sow, travel and go to war.*
In Ancient India, Astrologers called the Heart Uttara Ashadh. A portent suggested by them could be:
A sharp asterism belonging to the serving caste and favorable for punishment, torture, imprisonment, exorcism, mesmerism and separation or union when containing the Moon. Those born on the lunar day will be valiant, wealthy, famous, well born, somewhat dishonest, fond of travelling and in a high position. With Moon here at birth native will be cheerful, irascible, charitable, but will have few friends. Rules deserts and the right side of the body.*
