For the Moms In Your Life
Mothers Remember Everything

Just about every Mom I know has a box somewhere and in it are drawings, handprints and personally made items presented to her at some long ago time by her children. Fact is, we can give our mothers anything at all and it will be treasured because we gave it.
As we mature, we find that we really want to give our mother something special. We want her to enjoy it for herself. Of course that really means that she will be able to brag to her friends about it.
A few years ago, I discovered that my mom had never had a professional manicure. I treated her to one and went along. We had a wonderful time and laughed together over the silliest things. Of all her gifts from me, I think that one was the best.
I'm a little older than that now and recently my son and daughter-in-law treated me to a day in a spa. It was superb and fond thoughts of them came creeping in around the edges as I gave my body over to pampering.
The traditional gifts are always appreciated by mothers. Chocolates, wines, lotions and potions, and a pretty new sweater. As moms grow older and begin to slow down, sometimes the people around them forget that they are women first of all. Things that make them feel pretty are truly appreciated.
The truth is, it makes us feel really good to make our moms happy. Hasn't it always been that way?
